Bette Midler

The successful career of Bette Midler started in the 60s with a role in the Broadway musical "Fiddler on the Roof". From there she went on to develop a nightclub act which exercised her many talents combining singing, showtunes and comedy. Shortly after this Midler teamed up with Barry Manilow as her accompanist.

In 1972 she released her debut album "The Divine Miss M" which went gold and included the top ten single "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" which was a cover of an Andrews Sisters hit.

In 1979 Bette Midler appeared on the silver screen starring in the film "The Rose" and in 1986 she appeared in the comedy "Down and Out in Beverley Hills".

Bette Midler has released many records, and starred in many films, TV shows and stageshows throughout her expansive career showing that she is a truly diverse all-round entertainer.

    All I can say about Bette is that I've had a crush on here since I was very young. I love her voice, her personality and her beautiful face. I believe that even today she still looks as great (maybe even bette-r) then 20 years ago.
