Ivor the Engine

Ivor the Engine : Ivor the engine was a little green locomotive who went about his daily business on a small Welsh railway, acompanied by his driver Jones the Steam.

Everything was very Welsh. Ivor's route took him through Smoke Mountain where they found an egg. It got put in Ivor's steam boiler and out popped the lovely little Welsh dragon Idris, who then lived in the boiler.

The most important thing to remember is the engine sound, "cher de cuff , cher de cuff, cher de cuff Whoo whoo!", which was always a highlight!

This cartoon was made by the same people who made Bagpuss.

The original fiendishly difficult puzzle,

now with solution guide

The original fiendishly difficult puzzle, invented by Erno Rubik in Hungary and one of the biggest toy crazes ever. In 1982 Hawkin's Bazaar was the first to bring a few cases of the Rubik's Cube to England. Unfortunately 25 years ago we were very small and it wasn't long before a much larger company had the exclusive rights to distribute in the UK. We are very pleased to be offering it again! And now includes a new seven step solution guide.

So Haunt Me

Tessa Peake-Jones from Only Fools & Horses starred in this 1992-94 sitcom. It was about a family that move into a house haunted by a stereotypically-written, middle-aged Jewish mother. It had some very witty moments and was quite an original idea, but I don't think it got a second series.
