Arctic Roll was the type of party food you expected to see at any 70s/80s soiree. Delicious ice cream wrapped in sponge roll, which could be cut into slices. For some reason, though, Arctic Rolls were axed by Bird's Eye in the 80s - well, amybe it had something to do with the fact that sales dropped by a humoungous 50%! But the frozen dessert is back on the shelves of Iceland once more and a big relaunch campaign will begin in the spring of 2009. The Arctic Rolls now have an RRP of £1 and are made by Lyon's Maid. The Arctic Roll revival is hot on the heels of other comeback successes, including Cadbury's Wispas and Spam.
